        Clifford A. Kent

        Clifford A. Kent, 75, of 3063 Route 174, Marietta, died Dec. 30 at home following along illness.

        A native of West Monroe, Mr. Kent had lived in Marietta for 32 years. He worked for Crucible Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Kent operated Kent’s Sharp-All Shop at his home for several years.

        Mr. Kent was an Army veteran of World War I. He was also a member of the Martisco Lions Club, the Steel-workers Union and the National Rifle Association.

        Surviving are his wife, the former Laura Case; three sons, Clifford A. of Mottville, James R. of Auburn and Mark D. of Eden; two brothers, William Jones of Memphis, and David Jones of Newark; a sister, Hazel Keithley of Meridia; and five grandchildren.

        Services were Jan. 3 at Nofris Funeral Home, Marcellus, the Rev. Ronald Rice officiating. Burial is in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.
