        HIS INJURIES WERE FATAL

        The Death of James Vail Resulted from an Accident at the Wringer Works.

        James Vail died at the City hospital this morning, as a result of injuries sustained at the American Wringer works on Washington street Tuesday. While at work at a saw he was struck in the stomach by a piece of wood and peritonitis followed as the result of the injury. Av operation was performed last night in the hope of saving his life, but it was not successful, he dying at 7 o'clock this morning.

        Mr, Vail was 37 years of age. He was an industrious young man and had many friends. He leaves a widow and seven small children, besides his parents, Mr.and Mrs. William Vail, and four sisters and six brothers, The bereaved family will have the sympathy of the community in their affliction.

        The funeral will be held from his late home, No. 22 Arlington avenue, Saturday morning at 8:45 with services at St, Aloysius' church at 9:15 o'clock.

        The burial will be in the family slot in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
