        $105,000 CRASH AWARD ASKED

Aggregate damages of $105,000 are sought in three suits instituted by Mr. and Mrs. George Huntley and their son, Harold Huntley, 20, of Solvay, against Andrew Brandes of 2444 Washington av., New York, for injuries suffered in an automobile crash near Montoursville, Pa., Dec. 13, last.

The action was revealed when Daniel F. Mathews Jr., attorney for the plaintiffs, procured an order from Justice Edmund H. Lewis permitting service on Brandes by leaving the summons and complaint at his apartment. The order was granted upon an affidavit filed by a New York process server stating that he had called eight times at the apartment of the defendant and had been unable to find him there.

Lester Kent of Essex, Md., son-in-law of the Huntleys, was also injured in the crash, but has not as yet filed suit. Huntley has been a cripple since the accident and claims that he will never make a full recovery.

Victims of Collision Sue Truck Company

Four passengers In an automublle which was struck near Willismsport, Pa. by a truck owned by the Red Ball Trucking Company are seeking $45,000 damages for their injuries in Supreme Court actions.

Lester Kent of Essex, Maryland, driver of the car, is seeking $5,000; his father-in-law, George Huntley of Amboy, is asking $25,000; his mother- in-law, Mrs. Mary Huntley, $10,000, and Harold Huntley, a brother-in- law, $5,000.

It is claimed that the automobile in which the four were riding was struck on Dec. 13 as the party was on its way to Maryland. The Kent car was knocked off the road and overturned.

Kent said he suffered internal injuries, Huntley lacerations about the face which have left permanent disfiguring scars, Mrs. Huntley a fracture of the shoulder, and the younger Huntley lacerations and bruises.

It is charged in the complaints filed by Daniel F. Matthews that the truck which was driven by Andrew Brandes, was traveling at an excessive rate of speed on the wrong side of the highway.
