TERESA E. HICKEY
AUBURN — Teresa E. Hickey, formerly of 77 Hamilton Ave, died Thursday at Mercy Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Hickey was a life resident of Auburn. She was an operator with New York Telephone Co. She was the widow of William H. Hickey.
Mrs. Hickey was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of its Rosary-Seapular Society and Auburn Court 203, Catholic Daughters of America. She also was active with the Auburn Senior Citizens and the Golden Agers.
Surviving are four daughters, Jeanne Curtin and Marge Leonard, both of Auburn, Carol Elstad of Hendon, Va., and Mary Lou Mappes of Skaneateles; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
Services will be at 9:30 am. Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m, today at Farrell Funeral Home, 84 South St
Contributions can be made to the fund for the poor at St. Mary's Church.

Mrs. Teresa E. Hickey
Mrs. Teresa E. Hickey. widow of William H. Hickey, formerly of 77 Hamilton Avenue, died Thursday. Sept. 22, 1988 at Mercy Rehabilitation Center following an extended iliness.
Mrs. Hickey, a lifelong Auburn resident was the daughter of David and Anna Forgette Acre. In former years, she was employed as an operator for New York Telephone Company. Her late husband was N.Y. State resident engineer for Cayaug County. Mrs. Hickey was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and affiliated with the parish Rosary-Scapular Society. She was also a member of Auburn Court 203 Catholic Daughters of America. She was active in the Auburn Senior Citizens and The Golden Agers.
Surviving are four daughters. Mrs. Charles (Jeanne) Curtin, Auburn. Ms. Carol Elstad. Hendon, Virginia, Mrs. William (Marge) Leonard, Auburn and Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou: Mappes, Skaneateles; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a niece. Betty Acre. of California; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Joseph (Genevieve) Hickey, of Linion Springs
Funeral services for Mrs. Hickey will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Sept 24. 1988 in St. Mary’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Farrell Funeral Home, 84 South Street. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be directed to the St. Mary’s Church Fund for the poor.

St. Aloysius Church was the scene of a pretty Fail wedding Thursday morning when Miss Teresa Elizabeth Acre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Acre, became the bride of William H. Hickey of Rochester, formerly of Auburn. The ceremony was performed by Rev J. J. McGrath. During the mass which followed Mrs. Maurice Walsh sang There is no Heart Like Thine. Miss Geraldine Beechman presided at the organ.
After the nuptials a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride, 207 Seymour Street. Mrs. Hickey was charming in a gown of blue canton crepe, with silver hat and carried white roses. She was attended by Miss Genevieve Mulligan who wore a gown of henna and black satin and carried pink roses. Joseph M. Hickey, brother of the groom acted as best man.
The bride is a well known and popular young woman of this city having been in the employ of the New York Telephone Company a number of years. Mr. Hickey is a World War veteran and a member of Company M and at present a student of the Rochester Mechanic Institute. After a brief honeymoon they will make their home at 86 Adams Street, Rochester.

Hickey Weds
W. P. LeonardSt. Mary's Church was the scene of a mid-spring wedding on Saturday morning, May 3. when Miss Marjorie A. Hickey, daughter af Mr. and Mrs. William H. Hickey, 77 Hamilton Avenue, became the bride of William P. Leonard, son of Mrs. Catherine Leonard, 56 Letchworth Street.
The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. William E. Cowen, D.D., and Rev. John P. Norris was celebrant of the nuptial Mass. The altar was prettily decorated with white roses and yellow daffodils.
The bride, escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white marquisette gown fashioned with a lace bodice and sweetheart neckline, ending in a long circular train. Her finger-tip length veil wae fashioned with a jullet cap. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and sweetpeas. Miss Miriam Hickey, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of pale blue with matching mitts ang carried a bouquet of deep rose snapdragons and sweetpeas with matching tiara.
Miss Madeline Englert, cousin of the bride, and Miss Kathleen Kelly were bridesmaids, Miss Englert gowned in yellow marquisette with matching mitts, carried a bouquet of bronze snapdragons and yellow sweetpeas and wore a matching tiara. Miss Kelly, gowned in aqua marquisette with matching mitts, carried a bouquet of pink snapdragons and sweetpeas and wore a matching tiara.
John W. Gagan was best man. Charles H. Hockey and Robert Reilly, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom, were ushers at the church. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Hickey chose a black gabardine suit with white accessories and wore a corsage of pink roses and sweetpeas. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink crepe dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink roses and sweetpeas. A wedding breakfast for the immedaite families was served at Springside Inn, and was followed by a reception for 100 guests.
The bride presented her maid-of-honor with a gold cigarette case and matching compact and to her bridesmsida she gave gold compacts. The bridegroom's gift to his best man was a leather bill fold, and to the ushers, he gave gold tie clasps.
The bride is a graduate of East High School and the bridegroom is a graduate of Holy Family High School. Both are employed by the Internaional Harvester Company in this city.
After a wedding trip the couple will reside at 55 Letchworth Street.
Mrs. Leonard was entertained at pre-nuptial showers given by the Misses Madeline Englert, Miriam Hickey, Kathleen Kelly, Betty Bennan, Dolores Robinson, and Mrs. Catherine Leonard.
